The most compact integrated cabinet on the market means less disruption to your site, faster installation, and lower labour costs. Ideal for businesses where space is tight.
With under 20ms switchover - faster than most equipment even notices - plus built-in generator input, you have 4-layer energy security: grid, solar, generator, and seamless battery backup.
Up to 200% PV input and 6 MPPT channels mean you're maximising the energy from your roof, whatever the layout or orientation. Less waste, more self-consumption, better ROI.
Begin with 50kW/100kWh and scale to 500kW/1MWh by simply connecting more cabinets in parallel. Your energy system grows with your business - no costly rip-and-replace.

The TCL X5 is a commercial and industrial (C&I) battery energy storage system designed for businesses and industrial sites with significant energy demand. It supports self-consumption optimisation, peak shaving, backup power, and grid services - making it suited to a wide range of commercial applications where reducing energy costs and increasing resilience are priorities.
The X5 is built for flexible, site-specific deployment. A single cabinet scales from 2h to 8h of storage (50kW / 100–400kWh), and up to 10 cabinets can operate in parallel - delivering a maximum system capacity of 500kW / 1MWh. The plug-and-play, all-in-one design with factory pre-integration means fast on-site deployment, and the modular architecture allows installers to start smaller and expand as demand grows.
The X5 incorporates multiple layers of safety protection at cell, module, and system level. This includes battery management system (BMS) protections, thermal management and compliance with relevant IEC safety standards. The multi-layer approach is designed to prevent fault propagation and ensure safe operation across the full range of commercial deployment environments.
The X5 helps businesses reduce energy costs through peak shaving (shifting consumption away from expensive peak-rate periods), maximising self-consumption of on-site solar generation, and providing backup power that protects against costly downtime. Over time, these capabilities combine to deliver a strong return on investment, with the system also positioned to earn revenue through grid services programmes where available.
Yes. The X5 is designed to support grid services participation, including demand response and flexibility programmes offered by grid operators across Europe. This enables site owners to generate additional revenue by making stored energy available to the grid at times of high demand - turning the battery system into an active commercial asset beyond its on-site energy management role
