Energy management
Energy management ties solar, storage and the rest of a building together. Our TCL Energy Manager decides when to use solar power, when to charge or draw on the battery and when to run devices such as a heat pump or an EV charger, so more of your own energy goes to good use.
We designed it to work with existing solar installations and with third-party devices, so you do not need to buy everything at once or replace what you already have, and once it is set up it largely runs itself. For businesses, the same approach applies across multiple sites, and our systems can take part in grid services and dynamic tariffs where they are available.
Below we cover how it works day to day, what you can connect and how it supports grid requirements.
Does it support 14a and dynamic load management requirements?
How much management does it need day-to-day?
How is the system managed across multiple sites?
Can the W10 participate in grid services or demand response programmes?
Yes. The W10 is designed to support grid services participation, including demand response and flexibility programmes offered by grid operators across Europe. This enables site owners to generate additional revenue by making stored energy available to the grid at times of high demand - turning the battery system into an active commercial asset beyond its on-site energy management role.
