Installation and compatibility
Before installing solar or storage, it helps to know what will fit and what will work together. Here we cover the practical side, from how large a system you need and how much space it takes to whether new equipment works with what you already have.
Many sites already have solar panels or an inverter in place. We design our storage and energy management to work alongside existing installations, so you can add a battery or smarter control without starting again. For our panels, the right racking, roof and electrical setup all matter, including the use of optimisers on commercial roofs and the requirements for mounting bifacial panels.
These answers help homeowners, businesses and installers plan an installation that fits the site and leaves room to expand later.
Will it work with my existing solar installation?
Can I increase my system’s kWp later?
Yes, in most cases—if your roof space and inverter allow it.
In C&I optimisers are added for safety. Will these panels be good for this?
Yes, optimizers are compatible with our panels. They can be added in the C&I applications.
How can I be sure that I can use a specific racking with your panels?
Specific requirements for the safe installation of the PV panels are contained within the Safety and Installation Instructions. Contents of this manual are subject to change without notice. We recommend you always consult the latest version before installing the PV panel. If anything is unclear, or if you have further questions, please contact us.
Can solar systems be customised for my business needs?
Do you offer solar panel installation for business projects?
I already have solar. Can it work with my existing setup?
How large will my solar PV system be?
Panels provide about 235-250 W per sq meter. This means that a 4 kW system will cover about 16-17 sq meters of your roof.
Does the W10 work with our existing solar inverter?
Yes. The W10 connects on the AC side and runs in parallel with your existing on-grid inverter, with no DC circuit modifications and no inverter compatibility checks required. It also works on sites with no PV at all.

What are requirements for bifacial panels to be installed on a roof?
When installing a bifacial panel on a rooftop, applicable building codes should be consulted to ensure the structural load of the building is suitable. Bifacial gain tends to be most effective when panels are installed with a higher tilt angle and elevated from the roof surface. As the installation angle and elevation increase, more reflected and diffuse light can be captured by the rear side of the panel. Additionally, mounting rails should be installed to limit rear side shading as much as possible.
